Contact Form
Contact form properties.
The contact form allows your web site's visitors to type a message and send it to your email without revealing the email address.
The user has 4 fields to complete. Sender's name, return email address, subject and the message. On clicking the submit button
the message will be sent to the email address you nominated. You can use an existing email address for this or we can create one
specially for the contact form.
On the contact form you can have up to five contacts to select from. The form will have a drop down box from which contacts can
be selected, all contacts can have a different email address. If you don't need the multiple contacts options that's ok, the selection
menu will simply be omitted.
Check the contact form on this website as an example.
Need More than the standard contact form?
That's not a problem. We can design a contact form to your specifications, with various text input fields, check boxes, radio buttoms, drop down menus and select lists. You can also choose the type of validation you need for each input field. There is no limit to the information you can collect from your website's visitors.
An extra fee will apply for custom submission forms.
Email addresses.
Once you domain name has is registered we will make up 5 email addresses for you with your domain name after the @.
So it will look like this:
This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it
We will also setup one auto responder. That means that the person who submitted a message on your web site will receive
a confirmation email letting them know that the message has been sent. You can provide any message text for the auto-responder.
Why an email address should never be put on a website.
Keeping the email address hidden is important in order to prevent spam. Any email address that is on a web page will sooner or later
be picked up by a crawler and then added to mailing lists that send you those nice offers for Swiss watches, Viagra, extensions etc.
So it's not because you need to hide it from your normal visitors, it would be quite ok to hand our an email address to your customers.
Unfortunately we need to guard against those organisation who made it their business to collect addresses for the sole purpose of
distributing unwanted marketing materials. (SPAM)
