Google Maps are provided free by Google. A domain has to be registered with Google before maps can be displayed on the web site. The use of Google Maps underlies the terms and conditions by Google. Go to Google terms and conditions of Maps

Registration and Code

If you wish to display a Google map on your web site you need to register your domain with Google and obtain a map API key first. Next you will have to obtain the code necessary to display the map. To do this yourself go here to get the API key and code. Basic HTML coding skills and understanding of inserting java scripts into a HTML page is essential. All information needed is available on the Google web site for those who are willing to spend time and learn.
To the web site owners who don't have the time we like offer our services. For a fee of AUD 30.00 we can fetch the API key, provide the code for a map of your choice and insert the code in your web page. You can choose from the 4 sample maps we have on display here.

Sample Map 1

This map is very popular with web site owners who wish to offer their customers directions to their place of business. The web site visitor only needs to enter the ’From’ address and press the submit button. The browser will then load step by step instruction on how to get to the destination and the new map will show the route.

Available variations

Our demo map has 2 input fields, one for the ’From’ addresse and one for the ’to’ address. This will give the user the oportunity to find his or her way to any chosen place.
The following options are available: Two input fields blank. Two input fields with destination address already loaded, but can be changed by the user. Destination field hidden with your business address loaded, the user can only enter the ’From’ addresse.

List of map options

This is a list of options you can chose from when ordering a map.

  • Size of map
  • Geographical location of centre of map
  • Zoom level of map
  • Hidden or visible destination field
  • Address in destination field

Normally the map comes with the ’Directions’ blank on load. It is possible to have ’From’ and ’To’ fields already programmed so the map shows directions of a route when loaded. It is then possible for the user to change the field entries.
